ISLAMABAD (AP) ? Protesters calling for political reforms are pushing aside barricades protecting the government center in the Pakistani capital.
Some protesters moved toward government buildings, but there have been no clashes with security authorities early Tuesday morning.
Thousands of Pakistanis fed up with a government they say is corrupt and indifferent to their problems descended on the capital Monday.
The rally was organized by cleric Tahir-ul-Qadri, who just recently returned after living for years in Canada. His entry into Pakistan politics has worried some that he is seeking to derail upcoming elections.
