Crowds line Texas roads for ex-SEAL Chris Kyle's funeral procession

AUSTIN, Texas?-- A funeral procession for former Navy SEAL Chris Kyle started in Midlothian, Texas and has entered Central?Texas.

Crowds gathered in?Round Rock along Interstate 35 to remember the fallen hero.

People early Tuesday?were lining streets and highway overpasses in North Texas as the funeral procession for slain former Navy SEAL Chris Kyle began its 200-mile journey to Austin.

A light rain fell Tuesday on approximately 200 motorcycles, motorcoaches, police cruisers and other vehicles departing Midlothian, the small town 25 miles southwest of Dallas where the 38-year-old Kyle lived with his family.

The procession is traveling to the Texas State Cemetery for Kyle?s burial. He was a celebrated veteran considered the deadliest sniper in the history of the U.S. military.

A white hearse is carrying his flag-draped coffin. Passenger vehicles are pulling over along the route to watch the procession pass.

Kyle and friend Chad Littlefield were shot multiple times at a remote shooting range Feb. 2. A suspect is in custody.
